What season was this from? I really need to get the whole series and watch it all, loved it when I was growing up but def missed a bunch of episodes especially the later ones.

I absolutely love this video. The style is just amazing. as well as the song.
While watching this I was thinking it would be awesome if Tom Waits and Captain Beefheart would do a song toghter it would be amazing. I just imagine it be a contest between the two on who can sing more gravelly.

T Last time I got a physical the nurse seemed surprised on how good my blood pressure was, I am a bit out of shaped. Now I know why. It does make sense though, looking a breasts is a bit like of a sedative, slows us down and calms us which should provide better blood circulation.
I wish I could get a grant for doing a five year study like this. Man he must have been one hell of a writer or it was an all male board.
I have a feeling this started as an argument with a man and his wife who complained that he looked at all girls breasts all the time and he tried to come up with an excuse and had to get it proven to win the argument.

i’m tired of people hating on the state of michigan, specifically detroit.

look you guys. it’s not like we’re not aware that we’re in a serious downward spiral. we live it. every day. we see it as we drive from our homes every morning, across I-94 and I-75 and I-696 and I-96. we see the buildings decaying, whole blocks of streets abandoned and graffiti on the overpasses. we see the commercial buildings with “for sale” signs on them and the empty parking lots.

we hear it too. on the radio. on the news. read it on the internet. hell, time magazine is so damn fascinated that they’ve purchased a house here and are writing a years’ worth of stories about our decline and the accompanying decay.

we’re the butt of jokes. the punchlines for late night comics and satirical writers. a national joke last year, thanks to the misguided actions of our mayor. our auto companies are struggling to survive and our unemployment rate is so high we should qualify for an emergency stimulus package on our own.

i’m just tired of seeing headlines like “dubai is the new detroit” and all the other pieces that seem to do nothing more than remind people that (in someone else’s opinion) detroit - and michigan as a whole - sucks.

it gets old. the horse is dead. stop beating it. we’re very well aware of our surroundings. it’s not like we’re living in a bubble and are oblivious to the problems. it’s mainly that we’re so far down we don’t know where or how to begin to climb back up.

so please. stop bashing us. this state has so much to offer. so many people who are anxious and willing to put in a hard day’s work. to lend a hand to others who may need. to show you that while the rest of you think we’re down, we’re definitely not out.

Try being from Jersey, its way worse. All people think of are the douchebags and the parkway. And if you say your from Jersey everyones response is “Oh I’m sorry” like they are the funniest people alive.
Honestly, never heard anybody hate on Michigan (besides Detroit), but I have good friends from the UP, which is really pretty.

This is exactly whats been on my mind lately. This past year I have lived on two coasts, 4 different states, had three jobs, did two cross country roadtrips, backpacked through Italy. And when I came to Portland/pacific northwest about a month and half ago, I loved it and could see myself living here for a long time. And with that thought I saw a lot of possibilities disappear in my future. (And if I do[probably will] leave; I will also be saddened that I will get to miss some of my youth in this town) But I am glad I came to this town, I have been traveling, trying to find a place that fits me and this is the best so far. I am still probably leaving the state come February to go back on the road or to south america to wait out until summer field season starts up. I am still in vagabond/gypsy mode where I feel like I need to try to see as much before life drags me down. I think I might take a job in Alaska for the summer. But Portland, I will strive to come back to you.
